Membership terms and conditions

The agreement between you and Admiral Rewards Pty Ltd when you take out an Admiral Rewards membership. Drafted 22 September 2026.

Memberships are not yet on sale
These are our published terms and they are in force from the date above. What is not yet open is the membership itself: nothing can be bought today, and no membership exists under these terms until one is sold. You can read the whole bargain now rather than at the moment you are asked to agree to it, which is the point of publishing them early.

1. Who this agreement is between

Us is Admiral Rewards Pty Ltd, trading as Admiral Rewards, a company registered in Australia and a member of the Admiral Racing Group, of which Admiral Racing Pty Ltd is its parent company. You is the person named on the membership. A membership is personal to you and is not a company benefit, a family membership or a transferable asset.

These terms, together with the privacy policy and the website terms of use, are the whole of the agreement. Nothing said to you by a club, a merchant or anyone else varies them.

2. What the words mean

  • Partner club. A racing club that has a current written agreement with us. The partner club list published on this site is the definitive statement of which clubs those are at any moment. A club that is not on it is not a partner club, whatever you have been told.
  • Season. 1 August to 31 July. Every membership runs for one season and expires at the end of it, whenever in the season you bought it.
  • Ordinary meeting. A race meeting at a partner club that the club has not nominated as a feature day.
  • Feature day. A meeting a partner club nominates as such — a cup day, a carnival day or another major. Feature days are excluded from free admission at every tier.
  • Included meetings. The number of ordinary meetings your tier admits you to at no further charge in a season.
  • Member rate. The reduced admission price you pay at an ordinary meeting once your included meetings are used up.
  • Gate price. The general admission price the club charges the public at that meeting.

3. The tiers, and what each one admits you to

Prices are for The five mainland states, in Australian dollars, and include GST.

TierAnnual priceIncluded meetingsMember rate after thatFeature-day discount
Maiden$209.0010$15.0015%
Group 3$419.0026$12.0025%
Group 2$999.0066$12.0035%
Group 1$2,950.00Unlimited50%

Included meetings are counted per season and are not carried over. They are counted across the network, not per club: attending ten different clubs once each uses the same ten as attending one club ten times.

4. You never pay more than the gate price

If the member rate for your tier is higher than the gate price at that meeting, your card admits you free instead. This applies automatically and you do not have to ask for it.

The reason is plain: country general admission can be $10, and a card that could cost you more than no card at all would be a card not worth carrying. This clause is a promise we intend to be held to, not a courtesy.

5. Feature days

Feature days are excluded from free admission at every tier, including the highest. On a feature day your card entitles you to the discount for your tier off the club’s advertised admission price for that day.

Each partner club nominates its own feature days under its agreement with us, and the nominated days for each club are published on that club’s entry in the club list. A club may change its feature days for a future season. A club cannot reclassify a meeting as a feature day at less than 30 days’ notice, and a meeting you have already attended cannot be reclassified after the fact.

6. Food, beverage and on-course benefits

Partner clubs give members a discount on food and beverage bought on course. The rate is set in the club’s agreement with us and is shown on the club’s entry in the club list.

It is a discount, not a credit or an allowance. It has no cash value, cannot be accumulated and is not refundable. It applies to what the club itself sells; a concession operated by a third party on course is not bound by it unless the club says so.

Responsible service of alcohol applies without exception. A member discount is not a reason for anyone to be served who should not be.

7. Using your card

Your card lives in the Admiral Rewards app and is presented as a code that changes every 30 seconds. Gate staff scan it. The rotation is deliberate: a screenshot sent to somebody else stops working almost immediately.

You agree that:

  • the membership is yours alone, and you will not lend or share the card;
  • you will present it yourself, and you will show identification at the gate if you are asked to;
  • you will not attempt to copy, reproduce, automate or otherwise defeat the code;
  • you will follow the conditions of entry of whichever club you are at, including its dress standards, its rules about what may be brought onto the course, and any direction from its staff or stewards.

Entry to a racecourse is always at the club’s discretion. A partner club may refuse you admission or remove you for the same reasons it could refuse or remove any other patron. Your card does not override that, and we cannot overrule a club on its own course.

8. Misuse, suspension and cancellation by us

We may suspend or cancel a membership where we reasonably believe it has been shared, sold, or used by someone other than you; where the card or the app has been tampered with; where a membership was obtained by giving us false information; or where you have been excluded from a partner club for conduct.

Before we cancel we will tell you what we think has happened and give you a fair chance to answer, unless the conduct is serious enough that waiting would be unreasonable. If we cancel for misuse, no refund is due. If we cancel for any other reason, or if we stop offering the membership, you get a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your season.

9. The club network will change during your season

This is the most important thing to understand before you buy. Clubs join and clubs leave. The network you join is not guaranteed to be the network you finish the season with, and we do not promise that any particular club will be in it.

We will not, however, let it quietly shrink underneath you. If the number of partner clubs in your home state falls by more than a third during your season, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part, by telling us within 60 days of us publishing the change. We publish every change to the club list, with the date.

If you bought your membership principally for one club — because you told us so when you joined — and that club leaves the network, the same right applies to you whatever happens to the rest of the numbers.

10. Price, payment and renewal

A membership is paid once, in full, for the season. There is no joining fee, no monthly option and no instalment plan. Prices include GST and a tax invoice is issued on payment.

Memberships do not renew automatically. We will write to you before your season ends and you decide. We will never charge a card on file for a renewal you have not asked for, and we do not store your card details for that purpose.

We may change prices for a following season. A change never affects a season you have already paid for.

11. Changing your mind

You have 14 days from buying a membership to cancel it for a full refund, provided you have not used it to gain admission to a meeting in that time. Tell us and we will refund you by the method you paid, within 10 business days.

After 14 days, or after you have used the card, a membership is not refundable except where this agreement says otherwise or where the Australian Consumer Law requires it. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under clause 13.

12. What a membership is not

It is a subscription for admission and discounts. It is not a financial product, not an investment, not a security, not a stake in a horse and not an interest in any company. It gives you no entitlement to prize money, no ownership of anything, and no right to vote on anything.

Admiral Syndications, a separate company in the Admiral Racing Group, sells thoroughbred ownership as a regulated financial product under its own arrangements and its own disclosure documents. Nothing in this agreement relates to it.

Membership does not include a wager, a bet or anything contingent on the outcome of a race.

13. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the guarantees that services are rendered with due care and skill and are fit for purpose. Those rights cannot be contracted out of and we are not attempting it.

Subject to that: where we fail to meet a consumer guarantee and the failure is not a major one, our liability is limited, at our election, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

We are not liable for what happens at a racecourse we do not run. A partner club is responsible for its own premises, its own event and its own conduct, and your presence there is on its conditions of entry. We are not liable for a meeting being abandoned, postponed or run without crowds, nor for anything a merchant does or fails to do.

We do not limit our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for misleading or deceptive conduct, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.

14. Changing these terms

We may change these terms for a future season freely. During a season you have already paid for, we will only change them where the change is required by law, or where it does not reduce what you have paid for.

If we ever propose a change that does reduce what you have paid for, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and you may cancel and take a pro-rata refund instead of accepting it.

15. If something goes wrong

Tell us first, using the contact details below. We will acknowledge a complaint within 5 business days and give you a decision within 30 days.

If that does not resolve it, you keep every right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including complaining to the consumer protection regulator in your state or to the ACCC. Nothing here requires you to go through us first before exercising a legal right.

This agreement is governed by the law of Victoria. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, which leaves you free to bring a matter in the state you live in.

If any part of this agreement is unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues.
